We’ll help you to learn and grow into a more self-reflective leader by encouraging and challenging you throughout the process.

Measurable Growth

We’ll help you to identify focus areas and interventions that can positively impact your environment, testing, measuring and refining as we go to ensure success.

I think internal professional learning, like the Aleda Cycle we’ve been involved in, has the capacity to have enormous impact on moving schools forward into the future. External professional developments are valid, but I think the real impact is felt when it’s internal, it’s ongoing and it’s collaborative.

ACS is an eight-week deep dive into the coaching mentality. It synthesises advancements in the field while empowering coaches to build resilience to handle the intense pressures of their career through the support and mentorship of peers who simply ‘get it’.

The magic of ACS is the cross-sporting-code format of the group, which is handpicked so strictly only one team is represented from each code. This creates the unique trusting environment needed to fast-track collaboration and peers. Facilitators survey the coaches' players to gather authentic feedback that is used to customise each coach's learning journey.
Coaches learn techniques to continue the practices of self-reflection and problem-solving for the rest of their lives. The benefits flow on to their players, their organisations and their loved ones. Conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams, the ACS fits into the schedules of sports' busiest professionals. There are also opportunities for members to meet face to face, health guidelines allowing, including at the annual Aleda Summit.

The Aleda Cycle

There are four parts to the work we do: research, collaboration, observation and coaching.

1 Research & Analyse

Our Learning Environment Survey is all about collecting measurable data on your learning environment, to understand it better and identify areas of growth. An expert Aleda consultant will work with you onsite to administer and analyse your results.

2 Collaborate & Learn

The Aleda Cycle focuses on collaborating and reflecting in a safe, familiar and welcoming environment – your own workplace. Our consultant will facilitate an open and collaborative session between peers, to help analyse feedback and make an informed decision about where to focus your energy moving forward.

3 OBSERVE

Through the observation process, you will implement everything you have decided upon in the Collaborate and Learn session. We’ll help you to identify focus areas and interventions that can positively impact your learning environment; testing, measuring and refining as we go to ensure success.

4 Coach to Action

Our coaching model is about walking shoulder to shoulder with you through the Aleda Cycle. You will analyse, deeply reflect, and enact plans specific to your site and role.

One Day Workshop

Connect the strengths and areas of opportunity for growth to a team values and co-create an actionable set of team behaviours in a working document that supports a positive, high functioning environment. To co-create how your organisation can implement and execute the team values to the wider organisation with impact and consistency.

Two Day Workshop

Includes access to the Empowering Leader Survey which gathers honest anonymous feedback from the people you currently lead to encourage self-reflection.

Day 1: Connect the strengths and areas of opportunity for growth to your team values and co-create an actionable set of behaviours in a working document that supports a positive, high functioning environment.

Day 2: Delve into the outcome of Day 1 of the program to review a working values document for your organisation and co-create how your organisation can implement and execute the team values to the wider organisation with impact and consistency. This session will deep dive into the Empowering Leader Survey data to allow your leaders and aspiring leaders to reflect and engage in activities to acknowledge their individual strengths and opportunities for growth using the key Leadership Dimensions: Insight, Vision, Collaboration, Curiosity, Communication and Impact.

The cycle has highlighted my strengths, as well as some key areas for focus. The sessions taught me some really valuable tactics to implement to improve my leadership skills, focusing on giving feedback. I really enjoyed using this cycle period to reflect on my current leadership style and also learn transferrable skills.
